QUARTERLY SESSION

AT FIRST BAPTIST

The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Sunday School Union will hold its 133rd quarterly session with the First Baptist Sunday School and Church, Washington, Virginia, the second Sunday, March 14, 1954. Rev. R. C. Davis, pastor of the church, Mrs^C. A. Williams, superintendent of the Sunday School. ? The Union formed by President P. S. Green, who is the only charter officer living and organized in the First Baptist Church, Washington, Va., by Rev. D. H. Banks, deceased pastor 1913 and this meeting is a >•homecoming for the union. / The objectives of this union are to / arouse and unify all the Sunday Schools of the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association in the interest of increasing religious, social, educational, moral and economical betterment.

The Union is composed of 32 Sunday Schools. The Union has sponsored several annual Children’s _Day and Get-Togethar meetings.

The educational committee of the union has spent several thousands of dollars for eeducation and' re‘ligious work including aid to the Baptist Orphanage and numerous other good works. The Union is' planning for its Fifth Church Institute which will be held in the A. G. Richardson Training School the week of April 20-23 inclusive, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Classes will be held in Ministerial work, church organization church music, Sunday School work, Senior and junior Missionary work, —and ushering. Everyone is invited to the interesting program and refresh-, ments will be served to all after the program is ova$.
