Wins Trophy In

Regional Contest

Miss Anne Latham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Latham, of Amissville, and a student at Culpeper 'High School, has been declared winner of the Parliamentary Law Contest held Saturday, March 6 at the Madison Regional FBLA Conference at Madison College, Harrisonburg.

Miss Latham competed along with student members of the Future Business' Leaders of America from Montivideo and Waynesboro chapters. The regional contest included competition in the form of essays, public speaking and exhibits* Miss Latham’s Parliamentary Law contest was presented in a written test. Asked if she were surprised when she was presented with the gold trophy, Miss. Latham replied with an emphatic “yes.” She had taken the test and returned to her home before the results were announced.

Having won the Regional Contest as the contestant from Culpeper High School, Miss Latham will compete in the State contest in Roanoke, March 26 and 27.
