Sweet Potato Puffs 2 cups of mashed, cooked or canned sweet potatoes — — — 2 egg whites, slightly beaten lA teaspoon ground cinnamon 4 cups cornflakes, slightly crushed Butter, size of chestnut 12 marshmellows Mix sweet potatoes, butter and cinnamon together. Cover each marshmellow with potatoes to form a ball. Roll each ball in egg whites, then in cornflakes. Put in shallow dish well buttered. Bake in moderate oven for about 10 minutes or until slightly brown. Do not over cook as marshmellows will melt completely.
This makes 12 servings.

v Bridge Parties
Mrs. D. D. Miller entertained the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests and the ladies’ husbands on Tuesday, March 2 at a 6:30 weiner roast in the Miller’s recreation room. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mrs. Roberta L, Massie, Mrs W. F. Moffett, Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. Wade H. Massie Jr., Mrs. J. W. Price, J. W. Price Jr., Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Turner, Miss Carolyn Gates Turner, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wood and D. D. Miller.
Mrs. Gene Wood and L. J. Turner received high prizes for the ladies and the gentlemen, and Mrs. Turner, Miss Turner and Mr. Wood won the bingo prizes.
