Washington, D. C, last week to attend the funeral of Mr. Singleton’s sister, Mrs. Daisy Johnson. ~

Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler were Mrs. Harold Hammond and son, Wayne, Bob and Jimmie Swindler of Brentwood, Maryland.

Mrs. Ada Huff was a week-end guest of James A. Estes and his daughter, Miss Anna Belle Estes.

J. Rodes Brown, Jr., who attended a Bankers’ meeting in Staunton over the week end, was accompanied by Mrs. Brown. During their absence the two daughters were with their grandmothers, Mrs. Mildred Thornton and Mrs. Rodes Brown.

Mrs. Alice Moyer, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. O. B. Swindler, has returned to her home in Baltimore, Maryland... Week-end guests in the Swindler home were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kagey and their daughter, Miss Patsy Kagey of Cottage City, Maryland.

Mrs. James J. Miller celebrated her 93rd birthday on Sunday at the home of her son and daughterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Brown Miller. Those from Sperryville who visited her Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton and son, Lee III, Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson, Ann Rodes, Mrs. Mildred Thornton, Mrs. Rodes Brown and Susan Brown.
