Hazel Does Damage To Forest Lands
Hurricane Hazel has already been forgotten by some of us. The damage she did was not consistent throughout the State. Some property owners were hard hit and some weren’t even bothered. -There are many . timberland owners who were saddened by the varying degrees of blow-down which occurred in their woods. To some of these people the possibility of ever having a vyell regulated plan of timber production may seem very remote; consequently, it is easy to give up and follow the advice of those who suggest clearcutting the woodland. There are very few cases where any cutting as drastic as this is necessary. A salvage cut can be made in most damaged woodlands which will —utilize the downed timber before it decays and also improve the remaining stand. Contact Dallas G.
