Last Friday, a committee consisting of A. C. Latham and Milton Gore appeared before the State

new a request thaf Rappahahnock be included in the drought reliei program. (Committeeman W. H. Lyne could not attend.)

Rappahannock County had previously applied for this relief and been refused. According to a new ' release, appearing in the Richmond Times last Saturday, Rappahannock’s request was approved by the State committee, and awaited federal approval. There has been no further information available.

AUXILIARY SPONSORS f DECORATION CONTEST

Washington’s annual Christmas decoration contest will be sponsorI ed again this year by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Fire Company. Out of town judges will view the decorations during the evening hours of December 23, and select first, second and third prize winners. 1
