Charles L. Spicer
Charles Lewis Spicer, prominent resident and farmer of Castleton, died Sunday morning, December 5 at his residence, following a lingering illness. -Mr. Spicer w*as born a son of— the late Henry Spicer and Mrs. Eliza Menefee Spicer, both of Rappahannock, in 1874. He was a, member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ardena Courtney Spicer of Castleton; 6 daughters, Misses Dorothy and Helen Spicer of Castleton, Mrs. Garland Crammer of Lynchburg, Mrs. T. D. Bowles, Mrs. George Halen and Mrs. Joseph Watterson of Washington, D. C.; 1 son, Charles Edward Spicer of Alexandria. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Lena Wince of Flint Hill and a brother, Eppa Spicer of Clinton, Md.
