Mr. Boot Burke killed the champion porkers here this season. His four weighed 1,579, the largest one weighing 440.
Miss Achsah Dudley, who is attending Woman’s College, in Richmond, has returned for the Christmas holidays.
Miss Hill Carter, who is a teacher at the Episcopal Institute in Chatham and Miss Louemma Carter, who is teaching at Barnwell, S. C. are spending Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Carter.
There will be an entertainment at the Woodville High School building Friday evening, December 26.
Capt. Byrd Willis, who, until recently, was at the Willis place near Mary's Rock, is now located within four miles of Richmond where he has rented a farm.

Mrs. Annie Rohr Bryan entertained a few guests at “Bryan Hall” Thanksgiving Day for dinner. The guests present were Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Jones and. son, from Front \ Royal and Mesdames George W. Settle, Joseph Reid, Annie Daniel, Rev. . and Mrs. P. M. Bell and Miss Julia Settle. The dinner was most bountiful and the social fellowship most delightful and all the guests
