Amissville News
At the regular meeting of the Amissville P. T. A. on Thursday, December 2, routine busings matters were disposed of and plans made for a Christmas program.
The treasurer reported $114.44 was cleared on the sale of Christmas cards.
The program chairman, Miss Garland Riley, led a study group on “The Seven Year Old,” after which the meeting adjourned.

The preacher at the Sunday morning worship services of the Slate Mills Baptist Church will be Rev. Henry Harrison Smith, Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Mrs. J. H. Filling, Mrs. Lily Barber and Miss Mattie Rector were in Culpeper, Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson and Mrs. Florence Johnson visited Mr. and Mrs. Press Pulliam and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Murphy in Arlington on Sunday. Mrs. Johnson remained for a longer visit.
Miss Peggy Burke of Washington'was the guest of Misses Bar5bara Burke and Shirley Burke for the week end.
Mr. and Mrs. John Quaintance and family, Jimmy and Carroll Lee of Arlington and William Yancey were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wood and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Sunday.
Miss Wilma Jean Clarke was the guest of the Orange family on Sunday.
