Enters Final Stages
The 1954 Census of Agriculture is in its final stages locally and can he completed within the next two weeks if farmers will fill out their questionnaires and have them ready for the enumerator when he calls, according to Field Supervisor Cameron H. Belland.
The farm census questionaires were mailed in advance of the start of the field enumeration for the purpose of giving farm operators time to consult their records and fill out the forms before the enumerators began their rounds. This procedure was planned to insure greater accuracy and to save time for both the farmer and the
farm census on time will not only help in keeping costs ddwn but will aid in prompt publication of the > results. !
These goals cannot be reached, however, unless farmers assist, the supervisor pointed out, urging local farmers to fill out their questionnaires and have them ready when the enumerator calls. To date, approximately 65,000 farms have been enumerated in the -Northern Virginia counties under the supervision of the local office.
Holmes — BelT
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bell of Haymarket have announced the marriage of their daughter, Thelma Jeanette, to William T. Holmes on Wednesday, December 1, at the Warrenton Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy C. Hyle officiating.
The bride wore a gray suit with • black and white accessories and an orchid corsage.
Her sister, Miss Patricia Ann Bell, was maid of honor and only attendant, and. Phillip Bell acted as best man for the groom.
A reception for the bridal party and immediate families followed the ceremony after which the couple left for a southern trip.
Mr. Holmes is the son of Mrs. Ida Holmes and the late E. M. Holmes. The couple will make their home in Amissville with the groom's mother.
MEETING POSTPONED The December meeting of the Rappahannock County High School Parents-Teachers Association hks been postponed from December 7 to Tuesday, December 14. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
