Firemen Ask Council To Lease or Sell
Present Fire House
Appearing before the Washington Town Council in their March meeting held Tuesday night, a committee from the Washington Fire Company asked that the town either lease or sell them the present fire house. They stated that their organization had outgrown the building, having to house one .truck in a citizen's garage and the Rescue Car in Parkway Chevrolet

The committee stated that the j firemen planned immediate improvemerit of the building by adding 12 feet to the side and by installing a heating plant. They voiced their unwillingness to enter into these plans, however, without having either a long term lease on the property or having purchased it. ■ | •
