Various ideas for the program will be considered in the April meeting. 4 Final details on the leaflets were discussed by chairman of the pro* iect, Mrs. T. M. Johnston. These leaflets will appear in finished form in the near future. Mrs. A. M. Vemer reported that she had appeared before ^|he Board of Supervisors to request that a light be put up in back of the Health -Office, in an effort to prevent persons from throwing trash there. The Board stated that they believed the person who rented the building should be respon- ‘ sible for this. William Moffett, present at the Board meeting, agreed to attend to this matter. 'Die town council decided to have the trash removed.
Mrs. Vemer also stated that the dangerous open well on the Marean property had been covered.
Miss Ruby Jenkins has contacted Mr. Downing in regard to putting up a telephone booth in the town. He will check the possible locations at the earliest possible date. Miss Jenkins also reported that the requested signs at the entrance of town on Blue Ridge lAvenue and near First Baptist Church, had been erected. It was decided to send the television to Washington, D. C. for a complete overhauling.
