< Mort than a hundred people attended the special service of ordination ,for R»y. Clem A. Walters held in Slate Mills Baptist Church under the auspices of the Ordination Committee of Shiloh Association, with Dr. James T. Edwards as Chairman. All except two of the pastors in the Association were present and participated in the service.
Following die exercises the congregation honored their new pastor with a reception held in the Sunday School rooms. Mrs. George W. Thornhill was in charge of the committee of ladies who prepared and served the refreshments, with Mrs. George A. Nethers seeing to the flowers and Mrs. L. R. Hudson, Mrs. Nethers, and Mrs. C. L. Ramey serving at the three punch bowls.
