proved. Virgil Updike, who has been a patient in the Newton D. Baker Hospital, was home over the week end. Mrs. , Updike, accompanied by her sister, Miss Elizabeth Verner, accompanied him back to the hospital Sunday evening for further tests and treatment. Mr. and Mrs. William Groves of Bealton and Mr. and Mrs. William Wharton of Falls Church were week-end guests of their mother and brother, Mrs. Gilbert Wharton and Gibson Wharton. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Woodward and Miss Corrie Scroggins of Washington D. C. were week-end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scroggins. Appreciation is extended by tha rector, the Rev. Mr. John Frizzell and parishioners of Browmield Parish to the pastor, the Rev. G. M. Profitt, and congregation, of the Washington Baptist Church for canceling their services Sunday njght, .and worshiping at Trinity Church at special confirmation services.
