Four meetings were held to plan
with the 4-H’ers their Achievejment Day1, at the last meeting the exhibits were prepared and set up for display at the Rappahannock County High School. One of the 4-H groups we had worked with won third prize.
Last fall our Club served 4 supper to the Flint Hill Ruritari Club. We also served the supper to the Ruritan Club in which half of the Home Demonstration clubs participated to raise money for the “Continuing Education Fund.” J
We have had 12 meetings a year and have had a representative at
each of the County wide planning meetings. A member of our club has served as County Goal Chair-) man and another member has ser-t ved as County Secretary and| Treasurer.
Our Club has now seven members and several prospective ones. Three of the charter members are still active: Mrs. Lucia Kilby, Mrs. Ann Thompson and Mrs. Charlotte Nichols.
Although our group is one of the youngest, not only as a club but in experience as homemakers, we have tried to serve our community to the best of our ability.

Home demonstration work was given Rappahannock County by two nurses in New York who wanted to do something for people in a rural area. This came through a contact Mrs. J. Hill O’Bannon had with Red Cross and through the Red Cross Committee working in the county at that time. On this committee were Mrs. J. Hill O’Bannon, Chairman: Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mrs. J. F. Jones, Mrs. Frank Wood, Mrs. D. D. MiHert Mrs. W. C. Campbell, Mrs. Jack Miller, Miss Louise Anderson, Mrs. Ruth Cook, Mrs. Louis Browning, Mrs. John Snead, Mrs. Maud Gore, Mrs. J. W. Fletcher and lot of others. These people represented a county advisory board.
