On Tuesday, May 17, the Glee i Club program, “Our History Sings,” was presented at R.C.H.S* and at Sperryville in school timCj and again at R.C.H.S. at night, The Glee Club also presented part of the program for May Day; The Rappahannock County Teachers’ Association honored Miss Lucy Conrad at a tea on Monday, May 23. School was out early and the teachers held a meeting and the'tea at R. C. H. S. The weather man came up with perfect weather for May Day on May 19. Virgie Atkins, Queen of the May, wore a white ballerina length gown. King Jimmy Wayland crowned the queen after which die Glee Club presented high-lights from their program, including the chorus lines, the Charleston, and cowboy songs. Princesses wore spastcl cotton, made with a low round neck and gathered skirt. Princes wore dark trousers and light jackets.
Thirty-one members of the Senior Class took a trip to Washington, D. C. on May 23. visited the Smithsonian Institute and the National Airport. Mr. Leonard led the class through the Eastern Airlines section of the airport. Every member climbed aboard a 1938 plane, soon to be
