The Reverend Warren Corbin will conduct morning services at 11 o’clock Sunday morning at Five Forks Baptist Church. The Charlottesville District of the Methodist Church held its annual victory dinner at First Church, Charlottesville, May 19. The Rev. Hughes welcomed guests ! and introduced the speaker Dr. 1 Walter Gumm of Richmond, who spoke on the plans being made to establish a liberal arts college in Alaska. His description of the natural resources and opportunities in that country made' every ohe • . present wish to go there. The ^ hunting and fishing was most , tempting to the sportsmen present. There has been so much interest l shown at Anchorage, where the new college will be located that Methodists in the United States are most enthusiastic about supporting this cause.
