the season* was jjolemnired at
Baptist Church in Sperryville on Thursday, September 21st, 1893, at 8 p,m. The'event was the marriage of Mr. C. Edward Johnson, of this place, onje of our most popular young merchants, and Miss Susie Moore, daughter of Mrs. M. A. Wood.] and a granddaughter of the ilate Barnett Grimsley. The marriage ceremony was performed undfr a beautiful bell by Rev. Thoraap F. Grimsley*, the Bride’s uncle, and the church' was beautifully decorated' for the occasion.
The wedding matjeh was beautifully rendered by (Mrs. J. W. Hudson.
The following ladies and gentlemen acted as attendants: Dr. E. W. Brown and Miss Flora Wood, Dr. W. J. Smith and Miss Mattie Wood, Mr. W. (B. Wood and Miss Fannie, Mrj Thomas F. Hayward and Miss Annie Wood, Dr. G. B. Miller *nd Miss Lula Grimsley, Mr. T. |C. Smith and Mi$s Jennie Walker, Dr. Silas J. Johnson’ and Miss Verdie Grimsley and Mr. Jas. At si* o’clock an elegant supper was served to a large number of friends and relati res at the residence of the bride’s mother. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Johnson left for this place, where tley will hereafter make their home. The
