SUMMARY FOR THE YpAR
1. Ten adult groups have met 3 or more times organized to the extent that they meet regularly with planned community j and county wide goals to obtain! method demonstrations ta each meeting. The group has a total membership of 257.
2. Eight community clubs 'were organized with 12 additional .project groups during the summer months with a total of 129 girls enrolled carrying a total of 176 4-H projects and completing 163 of these.
3. During the year 17 adult leaders and 14 junior leaders yvere trained to give demonstrations and gave a total of 58 demonstrations and talks to the clubs. ;
Outstanding has been jthe growth of result demonstrations. There were 41 families improving kitchens, bath, living room, house remodeling and home grounds. Improvements include walls, refinishing and sanding of floors, upholstering and tiding springs, curtains, lighting improvement and 6 remodeling c*j>mI plcte house and and adding water. 17 are continuing to improve the | appearance of the home grounds, i Interesting accomplishments ] in federation goal Health and Safety.
j Nine home demonstration members went to Gettysburg and HerIshey, Pa., on a county wide trip. Noteworthy to the group were the Hershey rose gardens, candy plant and the Apostolic clock. One Home Demonstration meeting was devoted to this topic stressing: Better Health through Better Nutrition using the, Rappahannock (County dietary survey as the basis; clean up campaign-— including cleaning, screening, arid having water tested; and showing movie on cancer with nurse present
