ORDER OF PUBLICATION

Below is a copy of a resolution adopted by the Rappahannock County School Board in regular session on December 21, 1265:

Whereas, The General Assembly of Virginia has enacted by an overwhelming vote an Act submitting to the people the question whether or not there shall be a limited convention, to which there will be delegated by the people, only the limited powers of revising and amending Section 141 of the Constitution to make possible' certain legislation proposed by the Gray Commission; and

Whereas, His Excellency, Governor Thomas B. Stanley, has set January 9, 1956, as the date for holding an election to decide whether or not there shall be a convention; and

Whereas, we, the School Board of Rappahannock County, believe that the best interests of the public schools of Virginia will be served by the enactment of the legislation proposed by the Gray Commission;

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that we, the School Board of Rappahannock County, urge all citisens interested in the preservation and improvement of the public schools to vote “For” the convention; and

Be It Further Resolved > that copies of this resolution be sent to His Excellency, Governor Stanley, and to Senator George S. Aidhiser, II, and Delegate Tom Frost, our Representatives in The General Assembly of Virginia.
