Dr. J. T. Edwards is a man who many of the readers know as a Baptist Minister of Culpeper. He was born ahd reared in Georgia where the problem is much greater than our problem. He has lived and observed conditions in Culpeper, where the' school problem is similar to ours. Dr. Ed' wards says “Vote FOR the Convention”.
Dr. G. MacLauren Brydon is a prominent Episcopal Clergyman of Richmond, Va., and in this letter to the people of Virginia expresses his views on the Referendum Issue. He believes we should “Vote FOR the Convention”.
Dr. C. J. Smith is a native Virginian. He is a Lutheran minister and has been pastor of churches in New York State and has preached in many churches in Virginia. Dr. Smith is past president of Roanoke College and is one of the best known and loved men in the State. Dr. Smith thinks we should “Vote FOR the Convention”.

The ^Times-Dispatch, in its issue of December 9, carried a news story of the action of 24 Episcopal clergymen in publishing a statement opposing the State School Plan as proposed in the Gray Commission Report, and urging as strongly as possible that the proposition to amend the Constitution of the State of Virginia be defeated in the Referendum election on January 9th.
They presented the following four grounds of objection :
(1) That it will be a weakening of the public school system of Virginia;
