W. C Campbell, Hampton Sup- ' ervisor, was elected chairman of > the Board of Supervisors in their first meeting of the year, held “ Wednesday morning in the courthouse. 1 A. C. Latham, Jackson Supervisor, and Mr. Campbell were both nominated for the chairmanship. The vote stood: A. H. Buckner, Herbert Foster, A. C. Latham fot Latham; Henry Wood, E d d i 0 Estes and W. C. i Campbell, for Campbell. The official tie breaker James W. Fletcher, was reported out of town. Mr. Campbell sug- ’ gested that both nominees withdraw in favor of Henry Wood* Mr. Latham asked that his supporters allow him to withdraw in favor of Mr. Campbell.
