Mrs. Cox asked the members’ sentiments on the Christmas Car- , ols project, and if they believed the project could be made an annual practice. The members agreed, suggesting tha the loud speaker be checked before another year, as die carols had, at times, sounded raspy, and unclear.
It was suggested that the old custom of ringing die bells on the stroke of midnight New Year’s be reinstated, perhaps as a project of the auxiliary. Mrs. Hickman made a motion that the ministers of the various churches be contacted and the project discussed with them.
The president also suggseted that the members consider the possibility of making the Christmas party for die auxiliary an annual entertainment. It was discussed whether to have this party on Christmas or on New Year’s Eve, to coincide with the Bell-ringing Project
Miss Ruby Jenkins read die 1955 plan of work, and asked for suggestions from the members present to include in the plan of work, now under consideration.
