Crew Training
District Forester, D. G. Wilfong, Jr., Virginia Division of Forestry, announced today that Keep Virginia Gren Crews would be trained in all Rappahannock Co. H igh Schools. Keep Virginia Green Crews are made up of boys 15 eyars old and over who are now attending school. “These crews are part of the Division of Forestry’s first line of defense in fire control work,” District Forester, Wilfong said.
The training of these crews will he supervised by Chief Forest Warden, Raymond M. Johnson rod will include instructions in fire line construction, fire prevention, Safety and forest management. Mr. Johnson will be assisted bv a forester from the Division of Forestry in this training program.
