Payment* available for parici* pation are of two kinds - a costsharing payment which may cover up to 80 per cent of the cost when the practice is started, and an annual payment for the period of the contract.
When approved grass cover is already on the land, only annual payments will be made and contracts will be for 3 to 5 years.
