The New Farmers of America is a National Organization of, by and for farm boys studying Vocational Agriculture in Public Secondary Schools, which operates under the Provisions of the National Vocational Education Arts. It is an educational, nonpolitical, non-profit, farm youth orgazation of voluntary membership, designed to develop agricultural leadership, charactor, thrift, scholarship, cooper. at ion, citizenship, and patriotism. The N.F.A. is an intra-curricular part of Vocational Education in Agriculture in the Public School System of America. It constitutes one of the most effective devices for teaching through participating experiences.

Each year N.F.A. boys are given an opportunity to exhibit their training and skills on the local district,' state, and sectional levels. Only those that survive the rugged eligible to participate on the Natcompetition on these levels become ional Level.

The O. R. Johnson N.F.A. Chapter of the Carver Regional High Schpol had seven persons represented at the National Convention on September 24-28. Incidentally, that was held in Atlanta, Georgia,
