Amon B. Wharton
Amon Brown Wharton, a res' ident of the Rock Mills section of Rappahannock County, died Saturday, February 13, following a long period of declining health. He was 75.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was a son of the late Broddus and Mattie Peyton Wharton. His wife was the former Edith Dodson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thurman Wilson Jr. of Orange, Mrs. Laney Menefee of Boston and Mrs. Lyle Martin of Cupleper; one son, Kinsey WTharton of Woodville; four brothers, Walter, IHoward, Robert and Ash Wharton all of Castleton; and one sister, Mrs. Helen Cloud of Castleton. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren.
