The Rappahannock Garden Club will! meet at the home of Mrs. Chafles 'H. Estes at Sperryville on Wednesday, March 30 at 2 :00 p.m.
All meinbers are urgently requested to be present. 1 Tic re will be an election of officers and planning of thy coming flower show.

Project And Contest
The 4-H Horticulture project was staiited in Rappahannock County list fall. County Agent W. H. Lyne gathered specimens of apples at harvest time which were held in one of the local cold storages until December when the first phase, identification of varieties gbt under way. One phase of Rappahannock’s adult Horticulture programs stresses elimination of off varieties and replanting with more popular varieties on desirable sites. Four 4-H boys were taught: which varieties were more desirable than others. They learned to identify tfn by sight and taste, whether tfiey were used fresh or for processing or both, when marketed, etc. I
In February a contest was held to check results. Prizes were donated by Rappahannock Farmers' Cooperativje. Billy Mundy, whose step-father:set his first orchard last spring, woh first place; Bill Durden second and John Lee Taylor third. I
