Boys Charged With
Burglaries
Three colored youths have been jailed in Rappahannock County on charges of breaking and entering business establishments, in Amissville. Freddie Dearing, Nick Cary and Robert Williams all of the Amissville area admitted entering Action Auto Parts and Hackley’s Store. Action Auto, operated by Mack Bishop, was entered last Wednesday night and again Friday night. Cigarettes, cookies and silver were missing. Freddie Dearing denies entering Action Auto the first time but says he did on the second occasion.
Hackley’s Store was broken into early Sunday morning and about $150 in merchandise was taken. It consisted of meats, groceries, clothing and sundries.
The boys were taken into custody at 11:30 a.m. Sunday when the stolen articles were found in their possession.
Troopers John Lowman and J. C. Lawson and Sheriff Critzer investigated the case and made the arrests.
