Miss Marcil Applies
For Citizenship
On April 18, Miss Jacqueline Marcil, a student at Strayer Junior College of Finance in Washington, D. C. started proceedings at the Naturalization Clerk’s Office to become a citizen of the United States. Miss Marcil was formerly a citizen of Canada.
Witnessing the swearing in ceremony were Col. and Mrs. Charles King of Ben Venue and Mrs. Katherine Riley of Amissville.
After a short waiting period and a court decision, Miss Marcil will become a citizen of this country.
Miss Marcil is the granddaughter of Mrs. J, L. Walter and a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Stanish Riley where she made her home until she entered Strayer College.
