DIRECTORS TB ASSOC.
At the annual meeting of the Front Royalt-Warren-Rappahannock Tuberculosis Association on Thursday night, John T. Trumbull was elected president, with John T. Heller as vice-president, Mrs. Carl Parrish as secretary and Warren H. Goolsby treasurer.
Members elected to the Board of Directors for three years were: lElvin L. Coe, Earle Hoffman, Mrs. I/eslie Fox Keyser, Edward Miller, Mrs. Carl Parrish and John T. Trumbull of Front Royal and Mrs. D. D. MiHer and Miss Mary Miller Wood of Rappahannock. Mr. W. C. Carter was elected to fill the unexpired term of Ernest P. Wellford.
Introduced by Dr. Dennis Me Carthy, Dr. Charles G. Pearson, Superintendent and Medical Director of Blue Ridge Sanitorium, traced the change in the picture of treatment of the tuberculosis patient. Drugs are playing such an important role in the treatment now, Dr. Pearson brought out, that in a large number of cases, additional bed rest is not required. Dr. Pearson very graphically illustrated the use of drugs and surgery by slides showing charts, removed sections and chest x-rays. The meeting was presided *by Mr. Elvin L. Coe, president and a social hour followed in charge of Mrs. Joseph L. Denny.
