Mrs. George Terry, daughter of Mrs. B. R. Armel, Washington, Va., wishes she could share some of the beautiful spring weather we’re having in Virginia, with her. husband, M/Sgt. George E. Terry, U.S. Army Engineers, who is on duty at Camp Century (City under the ice), Greenland.
Sgt. Terry, who is 800 miles from the North Pole, and where the thermometer registers 52 degrees below zero, talks to his wife and three children once a week over “Hamm” radio relay station from Springfield, Vx Mrs.'Terry says that these talks with her husband mean much to their three children, Wanda, Eddie and William Cecil and that the only cost is 30 cents.
Sgt. Terry has been in the U.S. Army for eleven years, and is now on his second six month tour in Greenland.
Mrs. Terry is employed by the Peoples National Bank of Manassas, Va. and lives with her family in Manassas.
