Library Progressing
National Library Week, April 16-22, was observed in many ways across the nation. High schools featured bulletin board displays; teas, to which patrons were invited and shown the libraries and many other projects. The theme for Library Week was “For A Richer, Fuller Life—READ.”
The old church in Washington, Va. which has been purchased to house a county Library for Rappahannock now has a new roof. A furnace has been given as well as a number of books.
Current work is repairing the floor of the building, which was in bad condition.
To date over $7,000 has been given to the Library Fund.
