Garden Club Meet* With Mrs. Snead The regular monthly meeting of t^e Rappahannock Garden Club was held at the home of Mrs. R. % Snead, Washington, on Wednesday, April 19th at 2 p.m. This was an open meeting, devoted to a discussion of programs for the coming year. Exhibits included line arrangements using budded or flowering branches of native shrubs or trees. First award was given to Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr.; second to Mrs. W. R. Williamson; and. third to Mrs. J. L. Yow'ell.

Rappahannock farmers are already inquiring of dates of organized livestock sales!; pig sales, yearling cattle sales and feeder calf sales. ;
At this time the only dates I can report with reasonable accuracy' are those for Northern Virginia Fyeder Pig Sales held at Culpeper Enterprises which are: May 25th; July 27th; October 5th and November 30th and the final fat cattle sale.
Nominations foir these sales are requested at least: a month ahead of sale date in order for inspection schedules to be worked out. Also immunization against cholera and Erysipelas must be done three weeks ahead of sale date.
Prices obtained!, for feeder pigs have more than justified the effort, according to local pig producers
