Splendid was the word for this year’s Rappahannock Hunt Ball, held at Meadowbrook Hall Huntly, Va., Saturday, April 22. Due to the very competent supervision of the Hunt Ball’s co-chairmen, Mrs. Nils Tholand and Mrs. Hugh Ryan, Jr. and the gracious hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Duncan, present owners of Meadowbrook Hall, the ball enjoyed a perfect formal setting.
One hundred and fifty members and their friends drawn from most of Virginia’s foxhunts were warmly welcomed at the door by Mrs. Nils Tholand, Mrs. Joseph Pauze' and Mr. George Muth. Receiving their guests, were the hosts of the Rappahannock Hunt' Ball, Joint-Masters John R. De Bergh and James W. Fletcher. Also receiving were Mrs. Joyce DcBergh, wife of Jt-MFH John R.
