One Library in a small southern town reported that the Junior Women's Club sponsored a story hour at the Library for children from four to seven years and that over a hundred children took part.
In one community th* Library sponsored a Vacation Reading Club. School students taking part in the club received certificates for reading a certaih amount of fiction and non-fiction. The theme for the summer course was “Dive ‘Into Reading."
Another club established a most helpful service. They arranged to secure for their readers any book not found ©n the shelves of the local library.
One Library Club • assisted students in research for term papers and was helpful to the reading public in many instances. They had for their motto, “Reading maketh a full man.”
Auxiliary Collects Rummag?
There will be a member of the Washington Ladies Auxiliary at the Caiy building across from the old post office on Friday, and Saturday, April 28 ana 29, to take any contributions for the rummage sales. Donations of clothing, China, glassware, bric-a-brac or anything you have to give will be appreciated. The rummage sales will begin the following weekend, May 5-6.
