Many, an employee of Rappahannock News, was hospitalized Friday from injuries he received when he caught his left hand in a letter press. He was taken to Culpeper Memorial IHospital by Mra. Sarah Latham and under- j went surgery that night- Three of his fingers were split and crushed and the little finger broken. Mr. Many returned to his home Tuesday, but it is probable he will have j to undergo further surgery.
Mrs. Gordon Thornhill of Boston, Va. was severely injured ip an accident Monday when die struck the Hazel River Bridge enroute to her home from Culpeper. She is in Culpeper Memorial Hospital with laceration of the right side of her face which required about 300 stitches. Gift And Bake Sale
The Ladies Auxiliary to Wash-, ington Fire Company will hold a Christmas gift sale and a bake sale on Friday, Dec. 15 from 9 to 4 p.m. There will also be a few winter things for sale which were left from the fall rummage sales. The sale will be held fit the room recently vacated by Home Service Company in the postoffice building.
Area ladies are asked to contribute baked goods for the sale and anything you might have for the gift sale. Do not send rummage at this time.
