Mr. O. A. Norton, Superintendent

of Schools and Mr. Maurice O’Barenon, member of the Rappahannock School Board, recommended to the Supervisors of Rappahannock County at their regular December meeting, that Rappahannock County contribute $5,000.00 toward die establishment of a Junior Regional College near Madison.

The college will be an extension of the University of Virginia, and the initial capital outlay is estimated at $40,000.00, to be financed by the following counties: Rappahannock - $5,000; Culpeper - $10,000; Madison - $10,000; Orange - $10,000; and Greene - $5,000.

This matter was tabled by the Board until its January meeting.
