as a result or acvcioinucm iwi dential, business or industrial purposes, to provide assurance that the purchasers of lots are buying a commodity that is suitable for development and use; and to make possible the provision of public services in a safe, adequate and efficient manner. Subdivided land sooner or later becomes a public responsibility in that roads arid streets must be maintained and numerous public services customary to urban areas must be provided. This ordinance assists the community in meeting these responsibilities.
The proposed ordinance is known as die "Proposed Subdivision Ordinance of Rappahannock County, Virginia.” This ordinance will be considered by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia at its regular meeting at 10 aan., on January 3, 1962, at which time a public hearing will be held in order that citizens may appear in support or in opposition to the ordinance.
