Planning Commission
Rappahannock County Planning Commission held a meeting May 24th at 8 p.m. in the Moffett Building in Washington, Va.
Members of this Commission were appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Present were H. S. Barksdale, C. E. Johnson, Jr., E. M. Jones, Gen. Daniel Noce. and Capt. L. B. Stuart. Mr. Jor.es acted as Chairman pro-tem.
Gen. Noce was nominated for Chairman of the commission by Mr. Johnson and was unanimously elected. Nominated as Vice-Chairman was Capt. Stuart, whose election was also unanimous.
On motion of Capt. Stuart, seconded by Mr. Johnson, regular meetings of this newly formed Commission were scheduled for the third Monday of each odd numbered month at 7:30 p.m.
H. S. Barksdale made the motion that the Commission create the position of a planning technician to assist the Commission in its work.
Roberts Rules of Order were adopted for transaction of business. A special meeting will be held on Friday evening, Jurte 8 at 7:30 p.m. in die Moffett Building.
