ARTICLE I

Definition of Term*

1-1. Administrator: The officer charged with the enforcement of this Ordinance. The Administrator may be any appointed or elected officer who has been designated to the position by the Board of Supervisors by formal resolution. 1-2. Building: Any fixed or movable Structure having a roof supported1 by columns or walls for the housing or enclosure of persons, animals or chattels, including mobile- homes. 1-3. Building, Main: A building jn which is conducted the principal use of the lot on which h is located. In any residential or agrcultural district, any dwelling shall be deemed to be the main building on the lot on which the dtweilingis located. 1- 4. Structure: Anything constructed or erected, the use of which requires permanent location on the ground or attachment to something having a permanent location on the ground. This term shall include advertising signs and billboards.

ARTICLE II

Permit Procedure*

2- 1. No buidfing or structure which costs five hundred dollars ($600) or more shall be located, constructed, reconstructed, altered or enlarged without having first obtained a buildng permit from the Board of Supervisors or its Administrator. 2-2. Permits shall be issued' if the application is in order and the building or structure to be located, erected or altered is in substantial conformity to the existing buildings or structures in the immediate area adjacent to the location of the construction, reconstruction, alteration or enlargement contemplated by the application. 2-3. Applications for permits, approved or denied by the Administrator may be appealtled to the Board of Supervisors. 2- 4. The Board) of Supervisors in the consideration of an application for a permit may refer the application to the Planning Commission for study and recommendation. The Planning Commission shall base its recommendation on a determination

as to whether the contemplated building or structuT^/wil] contribute to the desirable development of the County. /

ARTICLE III ft

Permit Fee* /

3- 1. Any person making application for a permit shall pay to the County Treasurer a fee of five dollars ($5.00) for each location, construction, reconstruction, alteration or enlargement in amounts ranging from $500 to $5,OK)0,/and a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for each location, construction, reconstruction, alteration or enlargement in amounts above $5,000.

ARTICLE IV

Violation* and Penaltio*

4- 1. Al| departments, officers and employees of the County which have been vested with the responsibility of issuing permits or licenses shall not issue any permits for buildings or construction where such permits or licenses would be or would operate in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance. Any such license or permit issued in conflict with this Ordinance shall be null and void and without effect. ' 4-2. Any person, firm or corporation, whether as principal, agent, employee or otherwise, violating or causing the violation of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and," upon conviction thereof, may be fined not leas than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than three hundred) dollars ($300). Such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during which the violation shall be punishable as herein provided.
