Virginia: In the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County. In Re: Ruth Stevens
This 20th day of December, 1962, the Rappahannock County Bar Association presented to the Court the following resolution: “Whereas, Ruth Stevens served diligently, faithfully and loyally as Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County from April 10, 1935, to December 18, 1962; Whereas, she was appointed Clerk of said Court effective Jan. 1, 1963, but did not take office because of her untimely death on December 18th, 1962; Wheread, she endeared herself to all of the members of the Rappahannock County Bar Association by her kindness, patience, efficiency and many other admirable characteristics, and; Whereas, it is the desire of this Association to record its sense of loss and grief as a result of the death of Ruth Stevens; NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby unanimously resolved that the Rappahannock County Bar Association expresses ifs deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Ruth Stevens and records its sense of loss because of her death." It appearing to the Court that it is appropriate to record the foregoing resolution in the Common Law Order Book and to publish a copy hereof in The Rappahannock News and to send copies to the close relatives of Ruth Stevens, it is so ordered. It is further ordered that this Court stands adjourned for the remainder of this day in memory and honor of Ruth Stevens.
