According to Trooper Dicks, witnesses stated a '57 Hudson owned by James Harding Pittman of Elktonwas parked on the edge of the highway blocking Mrs. Burke's vision when she attempted to get around it. No injury resulted. Approximately $300 damage was done to the cars. Pittman was charged with improper parking. A-Brown tractor-trailer owned by Woolfolk Brothers Lumber Co. of Buckner, Va. and operated by Louis Seales McGee of Mineral ran off the road on Route1 522 eight and a half miles east of Sperryville Monday evening. According to Mr. Dicks, the rig went over an embankment and through a fence and into a field belonging to J. Stant Weaver. Damage was estimated at $800. The driver was only bruised a bit. He was charged with reckless driving.
