Decoration Contest
A Christmas door decorating contest is being sponsored by the Town Council in Washington, Virginia this year to encourage residents to beautify the town and stress safety in home decorating for the holidays. In years past the Town Council and Rappahannock Garden Club have sponsored like activities with spectacular success. Last year the only decorating contest in the county was sponsored by the Ruritan Club in Amissville. The doors will be judged on Christmas night beginning at 7:30 p.m. and all users of the Town Water supply are eligible to participate. Thers will be token prizes presented to first, second and third place winners.
