Aged Negro Lost

Five Weeks Found *

Dead in Mts.

Will Jackson, 84 year old Negro, who has been missing from his home in Washington, D. C. since late in October, was found dead Friday on Turkey Mountain in Rappahannock County. The badly decomposed body was discovered by Richard Burke who was: fiking a fence on the Wire farm near Washington. The body was found in an overgrown area between a mesh wire and stone fence. The area had been combed by a posse and hunters on several occasions had ridden close by without seeing Jackson's body. He was buried Sunday at Woodville.

Will Jackson was born March 12, 1879 and for many years was a resident of Sperryvllle and Amissville. Being in poor health in recent years he had moved to Washington to live with relatives there. He had wandered from his home in the city and was seen in the Sperry ville area on the 28th of October at which time a search for him ensued, with negative results.
