A public hearing is to be held by the State Highway Department January 9 to discuss the proposed reconstruction and relocation of a portion of US 211 in Rappahannock County. The hearing will be held in the Rappahannock County courthouse at Washington, Va„ beginning at 10 a.m. The section to be considered is from 1.2 miles south of the corporate limits of Washington, Va„ to Route 640 east of Ben Venue. No other portions of the route will b$ discussed at the hearing, engineers said. Also, only one location is to be proposed. This location would widen and straighten the route, take through traffic out of Washington courthouse,and provide an improved intersection of US 211-522 at Massies Corner.
