Masonic Emblem
The Rev. P. Harris Chelf of Roanoke was presented a 60-year Masonic Veterans Envblem recently by the Grand Lodge, AF & AM of Virginia. Mr. Chelf, who is 90, has fieen a Master Mason for 64 years and is one of the oldest Masons in the United States. He is presently a member of Washington Lodge N'o. 78 of Washington, Va.
The emblem was presented in a ceremony at Mr. Chelf’s home by C. E. Webber, past grand master of Masons in Virginia.
Mr. Chelf is a former pastor and resident of Rappahannock County, having lived for about 20 years in Flint Hill. While here he served as minister of Sperryville, Woodville, F. T. Valley and Flint Hill Baptist churches.
