The November Livestock Health Bulletin shows Norfolk to be still ahead of us (83.9% as compared to our 74.5%). Being in second place isn’t good enough for Rappahannock. Be the best! Besides it doesn’t make sense to protect 7 heifers and let the other 3 go unprotected. You wouldn’t do this on your own place. What’s the difference though whether the separating fence be between heifers on the same farm or seperate farm8. You can't fence germs with American or barbed wire! The best possible barrier against this disease is vaccination. Also Brucellos vaccination is the best plug to stop farm dollars leaking away in so far as results of this disease are concerned.
