Suffers Severe Burns
A nine-year-old Amissvillet girl was severely burned Sun-* day morning at her home, when her clothing caught fire from a wood stove. Phyllis Gough, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gough, Jr. sustained burnes over 65% of her body from her mouth to her knees. The youngster ran from the house into the yard and back into the house before her mother smothered the flames with a sweather. Mr. and Mrs. Gough were both upstairs when the accident occurred. Phyllis was taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, and transferred to the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville where her condition is undetermined.
