Rev. Luther Banks

Luther Banks, colored minister of Arnissville, died Tuesday, January 7, 1964 in Fauquier Hospital of a heart condition. He was 78 years old, and had served Bethel Baptist Church, Arnissville and Waterloo Church for 46 years. Survivors include three'sons Shirley Banks, Red Bank, N. J., Douglas Banks, New York, N. Y., and Major Herbert Banks, Fort Hamilton, N. Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Inez Chapman, New York, N.Y. A funeral service was held at 12 noon Saturday at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev, R.L.Banks of Culpeper officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers wereDea^ cone of,the two churches.
